Byblos Craft fair

Just got sent the flyer's to a craft show I'm doing in Byblos, Glasgow on the 27th September. They're looking great and I'm pretty excited about this show. I've even managed to conscript some mates in to help out (yay for pee breaks). If you're in the area pop in and say hi!

I wasn't too happy with my layout last time so it looks like time for another table organising session *sigh*.

Complete Look: Pinup in Green

I'm in love with this pretend outfit. If I didn't have pink hair I would rob a bank for it. Or I could just dye my hair.... If you want to rock a little less green then throw on a black top instead.

What's not to love about zombies? Well apart from the brain eating and I'm guessing the smell would get a bit over-powering.

But none the less I felt the need to celebrate some of the awesome zombie goodies on display at Etsy.

Bragging, Booze and Booty

Bragging
I now have an O2 20 meg business broadband connection. 20 whole megs of goodness - my internet is running at the speed of light and I'm loving it

Booze
A mate was kind enough to bring some Sailor Jerry rum (yeah the tattoo guy) around. It's one of the sweetest things I've ever had but was strangely nice and had a bit of a kick to it. The bottle is pretty enough all on its own though.

Booty
Not the Beyonce kind. It's international talk like a pirate day so grab yourself some pirate swag!

Skull and Roses Corset: Viogeminidesigns

Skull mini top hat: AnAcidicDesire

Skull garter: PurrfectPineapples

Review - The Softies Kit

The Softies Kit by Therese Laskey is an ultra cute kit that shows you step by step how to create your very own plushies. There are hundreds of plushie instruction books out there but this one gives you something a little different. Yes the softies are astoundingly cute, yes the instructions are clear and precise- so what else does it give you that the others don't?

Well this is no ordinary how-to book. For one thing it's a box. Open the box to find 15 beautifully presented instruction cards for each softie along with an easy to hard rating. There's also an instructional booklet that shows you how to make each stitch and explains all the terminology if you get stuck. At the bottom of the box you'll find all the materials needed to make your very own adorable iced cake (minus the calories).

This really is a perfect gift for an avid sewer or a complete beginner. Not only does it contain enough varied projects to keep both interested but the general prettiness of the kit will be impressive enough all by itself.

West End craft fair

I've got another craft fair coming up on Sunday (tomorrow) at the lovely Botanic Gardens in Glasgow. If you happen to be in Glasgow, or Scotland and fancy a bit of a stroll come along and say hi!

Last month was pretty quiet but according to craft fair gossip it's normally a good deal busier. I think the on/off torrential rain might have been a factor in this. Let's hope the weather stays nice this time!

Why not take a look at their website - wheelchair woodturners. The profits on tables go to Marie Curie Glasgow which is a hospice set up for those with cancer and other illnesses.

Rawr

Hiya and welcome to my very fist blog post! Exciting isn't it?

Ok so it's not really but I promise it gets better.

They'll be features with various designers and artists and my favourite picks from places such as etsy, Dawanda and other indie sites. They'll also be random tutorials for you crafty folk out there so keep posted!

Basically this blog is all about crafty stuff - how to make it, where to buy it and little sneak insights into those that make it. Hope you enjoy ♥
